For a shopping break, head to a local village and Toulouse and explore its shops. Come and discover the leading brands and local designers, and maybe even take home a few souvenirs. Pick up some gifts with accents of the South-West, visit the fine delicatessens or wine cellars of the city in search of foie gras, sausages, cheeses or even wines. At your request Caroline and Johan Herault can arrange a private viewing of top local designers’ collections. This includes local handmaid handbags, hunting artwork, jewellery and the famous Laguiole, Aveyron knifes.

Come and discover all the secrets of French cuisine. In the heart of the Aveyron wander through local markets, meet local producers. Participate in a hands-on on cooking classes directed by a respected French chef. Learn about and taste the famous Roquefort cheese and visit the famous cheese caves and taste Foie Gras, visit a truffle market, and enjoy wine tasting sessions.

Winery Visit

France is famous for its wine and is one of the best and largest wine producers in the world. On your trip we highly recommend visiting some of the many outstanding vineyards to soak up the heritage and taste some exceptional wine.

At your request it can be arranged for you to have a meeting with the local wine shop owners and winegrowers of the region of Marcillac in Aveyron. Visit their cellars and of course taste their authentic wines and discover specific characters of the wine from this region.

Horse Riding

Horse riding is a great way to see the stunning French countryside. Enjoy the beautiful Aveyron landscape whilst horse riding. Available is an excellent network of trekking circuits for beginners and experienced riders on well trained horses and ponies.

Caroline Herault is a highly experienced rider and at your request is happy to help organize the ideal horse-riding experience to match your riding level. Whether it is just for a few hours gentle hacking looking at the wonderful landscape. Or you would like a private riding lesson to improve your skills, ponies and private lessons are also available for children with highly experienced and qualified instructors.
